On December 3, 2011,
Medicom Toy’s launched the Bearbrick World Wide Tour 2 in Tokyo, Japan.
This exhibition showcased 73 different 1000% Bearbricks
that were customized by various artists and companies including Stussy.
Stussy’s Bearbrick design was inspired by an original Shawn Stussy surfboard
from the 1980’s featuring geometric patterns of bright-spiked fish
and bubbles on a surface of lemon yellow.
To commemorate the project, the 100% and
400% Stussy x Bearbrick World Wide Tour toys are available now.
